 We are a foster home based rescue and have no facility to visit.
 Prior to adoption, our animals are spay/neutered, vaccinated including rabies/age appropriate, microchipped and parasite treated/prevented as a minimum.

He is shy initially but very sweet once he warms up to you. Since he's shy, young hyper children may not be the best enviornment for Herbie. He was found with a 5 other dogs at a residence that their owner had passed away a month before. They were skinny and in pretty rough shape but are making a wonderful recovery! (see Crystal also). 2 dogs that were also there weren't as lucky. He will need someone that's kind and has patience while he acclimates to a new home life. He loves to be brushed and to be petted but still doesn't come up to get the attention he so much loves. He is starting to come up for attention now too and is really coming out of his shell with all the care and attention he's getting in foster care! With his very thick coat and having lived outside, it can be too warm inside often for him. So though we usually don't condone leaving a dog outside, he is more comfortable there if the home is warm. He is nowloving his leashed walks where he was unsure intitially!!! If you can provide a lifetime of love, care and compaionship to young Herbie, please submit your application for him!
